I had this dream like just before I woke up where I am in this room and this gora is there too trying to prove to me that there is another life-form of spirits and ghosts. He was moving around this glass room, moving planks of wood in order to prove to me…

All of a sudden I felt a spirit lift me up and push me out of the glass room and outside to safety, I was scared bcos I thought it was a bad spirit but when I fell to safety I woke up ---- the hukamnama today seems so combine with that dream….i remember being half awake and half asleep when I woke up thinking why didn’t I just say waheguru because I was feeling it…..

I saw a baby boy playing during the night – who was adorable and I was speaking to him in Punjabi…..

O my mind, the world comes and goes in birth and death; only the True Name shall emancipate you in the end.

I feel Maharaj is saying here that it is only Maharaj name that will help us through this world. It is that bliss that we receive from Gurbani that is sweet in there here and now and in the most distant unthinkable future

When the True Lord Himself grants forgiveness, then one does not have to enter the cycle of reincarnation again. He does not have to enter the cycle of reincarnation again, and he is emancipated in the end; as Gurmukh, he obtains glorious greatness.

This life is full of ups and downs all the way through. From the minute we are born to the minute we die. If we focus and attune our soul to Maharaj we will not have to go through the life cycle.

Imbued with love for the True Lord, he is intoxicated with celestial bliss, and he remains absorbed in the Celestial Lord. The True Lord is pleasing to his mind; he enshrines the True Lord in his mind.

I heard in a Katha once that if we do not do Jaap Sahib we will not get darshan of Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj,.. I want darshan I really do but need to focus my mind on doing the paath

Attuned to the Word of the Shabad, he is emancipated in the end. O Nanak, those who are attuned to the Naam, merge in the True Lord; they are not cast into the terrifying world-ocean again. 1 Emotional attachment to Maya is total madness; through the love of duality, one is ruined. Mother and father — all are subject to this love; in this love, they are entangled. They are entangled in this love, on account of their past actions, which no one can erase.

Kids are thought to be carried forward as what is still owed and due...from previous life cycles. All parents love their children dearly and it is withing this love we become entangled. If maharaj does bless us with kids I would like to raise our little one as if it was Maharaj gift and he or she is the son / daughter of Akaal Purakh himself. Our past and present actions is what stays with us through out....

The One who created the Universe, beholds it; no other is as great as He. The blind, self-willed manmukh is consumed by his burning rage; without the Word of the Shabad, peace does not come. O Nanak, without the Name, everyone is deluded, ruined by emotional attachment to Maya. 2

Please Maharaj bless us to see the true path. May we focus on you and thank you again and again for all that you have given us

Practicing fraud and falsehood, she suffers terrible pain; without the True Guru, she does not find the way. The foolish soul-bride wanders along dismal pathways; each and every moment, she is bumped and pushed. God, the Great Giver, shows His Mercy, and leads her to meet the True Guru, the Primal Being. Those beings who have been separated for countless incarnations, O Nanak, are reunited with the Lord, with intuitive ease. || 3 || Calculating the most auspicious moment, the Lord comes into the bride’s home; her heart is filled with ecstasy. The Pandits and astrologers have come, to sit and consult the almanacs. They have consulted the almanacs, and the bride’s mind vibrates with bliss, when she hears that her Friend is coming into the home of her heart. Once a king in India went to Guru Nanak Dev Ji and asked, “O Guru! As you told us that Waheguru Himself supports His true worshiper, but Waheguru has so many apostles, why does He support His devotees Himself? Why does not He send His apostles to help the devotees?” As he said this, his own son who was playing at the bank of a nearby river slipped in the river. The king did not wait for a second and jumped in the river right after his son to save his child.

After saving his child he returned to the Guru. The Guru asked, “My dear friend, you were sitting here with me a minute ago and why did you jump in the river?” King explained that his son had slipped in the river and he went to save him. Then the Guru asked, “Dear friend, you have so many servants then why did you jump in the river by yourself? Why did not you send you servants to save him?” The King said, “When it comes to my son. I do not want to take any chances and would do anything it takes to protect him. I love my son very much and I do not want to lose him at any cost.”

Then Guru Ji said, “My dear friend, Waheguru loves His devotees the same way as you love your son. That is why he Himself saves His true worshipper.”

Maharaj kirpa on Monday 23rd August 2010, I received my results formy final ACCA exams. I passed all with Maharaj kirpa.

It was so hard opening the email but when I did, instantly I knew it was all with Waheguru kirpa

I looked for guidance today from Maharaj hukam:

SHALOK, THIRD MEHL: How rare is the dervish, the Saintly renunciate, who understands renunciation. Cursed is the life, and cursed are the clothes, of one who wanders around, begging from door to door.
Maharaj is referring to how we asked Dad for money. We begged at Dad’s door and I feel Maharaj is saying it was all in his hukam that we were refused money from Dad.

But if he gives up hope and anxiety and becomes Gurmukh, and takes the Name as his charity, then Nanak washes his feet; I am a sacrifice to him. 1
If we once asked maharaj ourselves direct, we would not need to go anywhere else to beg foranything cos our father our real father Guru Gobind Singh ji gives us all we need

THIRD MEHL: O Nanak, the tree has one fruit, but two birds are perched upon it. They are not seen coming or going; these birds have no wings.
I feel that Maharaj refers the tree to the house in hayes where 2 ppl made an offer for £235k – they are perched because they are not going anywhere...they were gona stick to 235k. Thus maharaj encouraged us and let us have first pick of 236k

Kirtan Sohela: Ode to My Beloved

The bani known as Sohela - more commonly referred to as the Kirtan Sohela - is the final nitnem bani recited at the end of each day.
It is also the bani that is recited at the final rites of a Sikh as the body is consigned to cremation.
Hence, it is also the last bani recited by each Sikh at bedtime everynight to mark the end of each day ... reflective of the ultimate, final "end".
When a Punjabi bride is about to wed her pritam, her beloved groom - her future life-partner - there is a celebration known as "maaiyaan". On this occasion, the bride is 'entertained' by her friends and relatives who sing songs that are sad and yet happy ... sad because she is about to leave her parents, brothers and sisters behind; happy because she is about to join her beloved husband, the future of her life.
In a way, this ceremony prepares the young bride for the unseen future. Normally, the young girl would be in fear of the uncertainty that lies ahead, of what the future hold for her ... a new life-partner, new 'parents', new friends and relatives.She is worried about her ability to cope with the sea of changes.
The maaiyaan songs are designed to put her unease to rest, to pacify her wildly-beating heart, by reminding her that the home with her parents was temporary, that she has been preparing all along to go to her true home one day ... and that day has come! The songs encourage her to be clam and peaceful and prepare her to make the most of the changes that are around the corner, and to enjoy her new life!
This most common of customs in Punjab is what Guru Nanak chose to write his Sohela about ... and just see how masterfully he combines man's fear of death with the joyous celebration of "maaiyaan". Sohela tells us that this earth, this life, is just a temporary place (the bride's parental home ) and all must, like the bride, soon depart for their real and permanent home! ... the home of Waheguru, our Pritam, our Beloved, our Husband, who awaits us. And we must make sure we are made welcome there through our gurmukhta - our piety - just like the new bride is in her in-laws' home, due to her good character, loving nature, friendliness, sweetness of speech, etc.
Just as the bride parts from her childhood home and family, we too will one day part from all that is here on earth when death arrives. Just like the new bride is 'afraid' of the uncertainty that awaits her, of what the future hoilds ... each one of us is also mortified of what awaits us after death!
And in Sohela, Guru Ji tells us exactly what happens after death. We go to our Beloved's House to be their in joy and bliss (if we deserve that and if we have prepared ourselves for that day ...)!
At the time of marriage of a girl, many women of the neighbourhood assemble at night and sing songs related to the marriage. These songs express a theme of separation with her parents and friends. they also contain blessings from them all, that she may live a life of peace and comfort in her husband's house. These songs are called Sohelrrha.

jal thal mahee-al sarab nivaasee naanak rama-ee-aa deethaa. ||4||3||

He is pervading everywhere, in the water, on the land and in the sky; Nanak beholds the all-pervading Lord. ||4||3||

Guru Arjan Dev Maharaj ji is talking to us today in the Dhanaasaree Raag, theraag of complete carefreeness.

Kar kirapaa dheeo mohi naamaa ba(n)dhhan thae shhuttakaaeae.
Guru Sahib ji is saying kar kirapaa dheeou. Waheguru ji blessed me, did kirpaon me, How? Why? In what way? How did Waheguru bless the mortal? Mohi naamaa. He gave me Nama, the Naam, the Naam ras, the experience ofNaam. And what does this experience do? What does this Naam do? What does this eternal vibration do? ba(n)dhhan thae shhuttakaaeae. It released me from my ba(n)dhhan. From all the prisons that I imprison myself in whether they are physical, mental, spiritual. It liberated me from all ba(n)dhhan, from all the cages that surround me.

Man thae bisariou sagalo dhha(n)dhhaa gur kee charanee laaeae.
From my man, from my mind, I have bisariou forgotten sagalo all worldly things, all my worldly entanglements and attachments. And where do I attach myself? Where do I put myself? I attach myself to gur kee charanee, to the feet of the Guru. What does this mean to us? This means, Guru Sahib ji is saying: The only way to find peace of mind and to find God is by attaching yourself to the feet of the Guru, attaching yourself to the Guru, to what the Guru says, to what the Guru does. To attach yourself to what the Guru has taught us. There is no other way.

Saadhhasa(n)g chi(n)th biraanee shhaaddee.
In the saadhhsa(n)g, in the company of the holy sadhus, chi(n)th biraanee shhaaddee. Biraanee means all other; Chi(n)th: means anxiety; shhaaddeemeans to give up. In this Dhanaasaree Raag of carefreeness chi(n)th, all my other anxieties, all my other worries, are taken away.

Aha(n)budhh moh man baasan dhae kar gaddehaa gaaddee.
Why? Because in the saadhsangat, I gaddehaa gaaddee, I managed to bury my aha(n)budhh moh my ego, my attachment, and man baasan, my desires and the thirst of my mind. I managed to conquer all of these. How Guru jisays? In the saadhsangat. That is the only way.

Rehaao.
Pause and think about this point.

Naa ko maeraa dhusaman rehiaa naa ham kis kae bairaaee.
No one naa ko maerae is dhusaman, no one is my enemy. Why? Because I see God in all. No one has remained my enemy, and I am no one’s enemy either. Why? Because in the saadhsangat I saw:

Breham pasaar pasaariou bheethar sathigur thae sojhee paaee.
I realized I found this sojhee, this understanding, in the saadhsangat, from the sathigur, the Satguru, from the True Guru. What understanding did I find? The creator of all has expanded throughout this whole universe

Sabh ko meeth ham aapan keenaa ham sabhanaa kae saajan.
I found that Waheguru, the Creator of all, sabh, has expanded throughout this whole universe, everything that exists. Waheguru is shining through all, sabh ko meeth ham aapan I am the friend to all. Just like keenaa ham sabhanaa kae saajan. I have made myself the friend of all. I am everyone’s friend, I am the friend to all. Just like Bhai Kanaiya ji on the battlefield. He sees no Turk, he sees no Hindu, he sees no Muslim, he sees no Sikh. All he sees isWaheguru through everyone. And he serves everyone. He gave the water just as much to the Mughal army as to the Sikh army. Anyone who cried out ‘Water’ he gave water to them. He understood these lines.

Dhoor paraaeiou man kaa birehaa thaa mael keeou maerai raajan.
dhoor paraaeiou man kaa birehaa. When the birehaa, the sense of separation in my mind was dhoor paraaeiou. Dhoor paraaeiou means taken far away. When this sense of separation was taken far away, and was taken out of my mind, then what happens? mael keeou maerai raajan. Then I mael unite withmaerai raajan my King, with my Waheguru. kiv sachiaaraa hoeeai kiv koorrai thuttai paal, said Guru Nanak in Japji Sahib(1-6, Jap, M 1). All we have to do is break down the paal, the veil of falsehood and of evil. And when we remove that veil then we are united with our King.

Binasiou dteet(h)aa a(n)mrith voot(h)aa sabadh lago gur meet(h)aa.
My dteet(h)aa, my stubbornness has been binasiou destroyed. Why? a(n)mrith voot(h)aa. Because the amrit, the immortal essence is voot(h)aa, is raining down now. Why? sabadh lago gur meet(h)aa because I found that the Guru’sshabad, the Guru’s word, the Guru’s mantar, the Guru’s mool mantar ismeet(h)aa, is sweet to me.

Jal thhal meheeal sarab nivaasee naanak rameeaa ddeet(h)aa.
Nanak has seen ddeet(h)aa the all pervading Lord. Why? Because jal thhal meheeal sarab. Nanak has seen Him in the jal, in the water, throughout the land, throughout the skies, sarab nivaasee, pervading through all. Sarabmeans all. Nanak has seen his Waheguru Who pervades through all, pervades through everything.

What Guru Sahib ji is saying through this Shabad is that we must be willing to break through the shackles that hold us down. To quote something outside of the context of Gurbani: there is a poet called Williman Blake who said we all have minds full of manacles. What Guru Sahib ji is saying is that the manacles that we wear, the shackles that we wear, the cave that we are in, is of our mind essentially. All is of our ego, our attachment, of our greed, of our desires, of our anger. For Waheguru to break through this cave we must enter the saadh sangat. We must be ready to attach ourselves completely to what the Guru says. Only then will we be able to break these minds full of manacles that we wear.

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa ! Waheguru ji ki Fateh !!

"The mother, is the only one who can teach her child tenderness and compassion. It is this exposure to gentleness in the lap of the mother for the first 7 years of life that teaches a man to be just, tolerant, and compassionate in his dealings with others. And when that tenderness will be lost, we will not have compassionate males. What will be the result? The result will be a lot more killing, a lot more war.

The entire nervous system, and consequently the entire capacity of a person for self-control, is determined by the touch of a mother. All human character, which has that gentleness for which humanity is proud, comes from the gentle touch of a woman. Our entire value of acceptance of others, hospitality, compassion, pain for others, thinking for others, sacrificing, welcoming, — all this is learned in the lap of the mother. There is a saying in the scriptures: "Whatever goodness a man has, it is learned in the lap of his mother." That is how important the institution of a woman as a mother is in our society.

Building Character

Mother Nature writes the destiny of the child when the soul enters the womb on the 120th day of pregnancy.

Whatever character the mother gives to the child in the first 3 years becomes his first fundamental permanent foundation of character. The next 4 years, up to age 7, are the second coat, and all the mother can give the child has to be done by the 11th year.

After this time, the child will become more a friend than a disciple of character. Therefore, whatever a mother has to give a child, must be given within the first 11 years.

supan charithr chithr baanak banae bachithra
paavan pavithr mithr aaj maerai aaeae hai

bachan rasaal madhh madhhur peeaaeae hai
sobhith sijaasan bilaasan dhai a(n)kamaala
praemaras bisam hue sehaj samaaeae hai
chaathrik sabadh sun akheeaa oughar gee

I saw Him (my beloved) in a vision. It was an amazing sight! 
His form was adorned in a wondrous way. 

My extremely sacred, beloved and pure friend came to me today. (in my vision)

He is the greatest and most merciful and he is my beloved Laal. (a very precious thing) 

He has beautiful eyes.
Words from His mouth are sweet as nectar. 
Hearing them I drink Madh Madhur (sweet and delicious honey.)

He was seated on a beautiful bed and He hugged me to Him. 
I was filled with indescribable bliss. 

Lost in the wonder of the sweetness of His love, I became blended with Him.

I the chatrik bird, after hearing the Divine Shabad, understood everything. (my inner eye opened)

Now I am like a fish in water. Great Bairaag (longing of separation) has sprouted inside me.
